About the Artist

Headshot

Monica Alexander (She/Her) is a Mexican American artist from Houston, Texas, and a fixture of Atlanta’s art community for more than a decade. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA in Illustration), she’s known for bright color palettes, bold linework, and playful explorations of symmetry. Her imagery often centers around women, lush florals, and flowing, magical hair that seems to spill off the page. Working primarily in traditional media, she favors the feel of brush on paper; gouache is her medium of choice, complemented by watercolor, spray paint, and occasional digital work.
